Best Bike for Young Toddlers

All three of our kids started on this bike as soon as their inseam permitted and they loved every second of it, and I loved how if they did tire on long walks that it was so light to carry or stick in the stroller. They raced Bmx so they had to upgrade to a bigger balance bike at about 2 or 2.5 but I think this bike helped them develop a love for riding and they were on the BMX track and skatepark on their BMX bikes at 3. Our Runners Jr bike needs replacement forks due to big kids wanting to be on it and years of abuse, but I think it’s help up very well.

Thanks so much for your feedback!!

We love this bike and get complimented on it whenever we are out with it. Once my son outgrows this we’ve already gotten the next size up for him! Amazing customer service as well.

This has been the best first pushbike for our kiddos! Our original bike is currently being used by our 2nd child at just over one year of age (our son rode it hard for a good year before his inner mountain biker spirit required a bike with pneumatic tread tires). It has been through its fair share of child adventuring crashes- the last resulting in a lost bolt which was quickly replaced through Runners- free of charge. Awesome bike with awesome people behind it!

This is a great first bike for your little one. It's extremely easy to assemble, only a few pieces total and its ready to go. It's quite easy to ride, our son got the trick quite easily. The seat is also well conceived, long enough for new riders to find their favorite position. Parts of the bike were bitten off by a neighbors dog, and we've received amazing customer support from the company to replace them. And... how cool does this bike look, right? 🙂

Before I got my son this bike for his 2nd birthday my reservation was how long would it fit him. He's pretty tall. But whenever we went to MEC he'd jump on one and whizz round the store with a huge smile on his face. I talked to the MEC staff who advised that these bikes last a surprisingly long time, and of course they do have an adjustable saddle. We got him one and he has been so happy with it. He's almost 3 now, and we've yet to adjust the saddle up (though we're probably due now). The trick is it is light. So my son can handle it comfortably. Other bikes we looked at probably would follow him as he gets somewhat older, but they were too heavy for him at 2yrs. It's light enough and small enough to put in the back of our Thule Chariot too. Plus customer service is excellent. I emailed them about a component and they quickly responded by sending me one. One of those products where several things make it feel like a great buy.

This is THE bike to have for the under 2 set. We bought it for our son when he was 12 months old and he's now 21 months old dropping in steep ramps at the skate park on this thing! People can't believe how good of a little biker he is and I always tell them that a lot of it has to do with the bike. It's feather-light and the perfect size for little ones. We have a more robust aluminum bike but he much prefers this one for now. My only recommendation - if your kid is riding this bike lots and often, make sure to tighten the bolts about once per week as they do get loose and you wouldn't want to lose a wheel mid-ride. BUY IT! You won't regret it.

Best Kids' Purchase Ever

My husband was skeptical when I bought this but now he is a total convert and promoter of Runners. At age 2 our kids were fast enough on these that we had to strap on running shoes to keep up. Our middle child was on a regular pedal bike with no training wheels at 2 years 7 months because he learned to balance on this bike. You will not regret this purchase! Throw out those training wheels
